Took a last minute chance yesterday afternoon and headed out to try and catch something of the solar eclipse from here in Southern California.
Santa Monica at Sunset
Once again I visited the beautiful Santa Monica beach at sunset yesterday evening, I have been out there many times before but last night gave me the opportunity to try out my new 5D mk III.
Downtown Los Angeles Long Exposure
Sunday evening I got to revisit an old photo spot that I have been meaning to get to for some time now. The 4th street overpass is one of the more popular photo spots in downtown Los Angeles.
Griffith Observatory at sunrise
This past Sunday the 12th of February I left the house early to hike up past the observatory in Griffith park to catch the sunrise. I left my apartment before 6am and headed to the park where I enjoyed a brisk 20 minute hike up the mountain, past the observatory and to a good photo spot behind.
Mammoth Trip - June 2011
Recently I got the chance to take a trip up to Mammoth and the Eastern Sierra mountains for a few days.

This weekend I got to spend an afternoon in Ventura down on the beach.
